Acquitted and Redeemed.
God has freely acquitted you and redeemed you. You are guiltless and have been set free from the control of sin.
“being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,” (Rom 3:24)
- Most of you have never been accused of a capital crime, but from God’s perspective you were accused and found guilty. And your attorney representing you died in your place and fulfilled your sentence of death. Therefore, the Father acquitted you. That’s by grace (charis), not mercy (eleos). Grace is not receiving what you deserve…
- Redemption means to set free by paying a ransom. Jesus blood purchased your redemption, freedom, and salvation (forgiveness and cleansing).
How many of you lavishly love the Lord Jesus for His substitutionary death, the Father’s acquittal, and the Holy Spirit’s cleansing?
How many of you have applied the freedom from sin that redemption makes possible?
“Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much.” (Lk 7:47)
