Passover. Alive Forevermore.
Passover. Alive Forevermore. Josiah celebrated the Passover more joyfully that anyone since the Prophet Samuel.
The Passover celebrated the protection of God when a death angel passed over Egypt and killed the firstborn in the houses that did not have the blood of a lamb splashed door jambs.
Jesus is the Lamb of God. So all those who celebrated the first Passover were in fact celebrating the death of Jesus. His shed blood (His death) has been splashed on our hearts, and we will no longer die in punishment. We have eternal life in heaven awaiting us when we physically die.
Like Josiah, celebrate Jesus, the Lamb of God, who forgave all of your sins and made you worthy of heaven. God made you worthy of living in the kingdom of the Son of God. “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love” (Col 1:13)
“There had been no Passover kept in Israel like that since the days of Samuel the prophet; and none of the kings of Israel had kept such a Passover as Josiah kept” (2Chr 35:18)
“since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.” (1Cor 5:7)
