Where To Start ...

Before you begin to journal, I would like you to consider what it means to be a Christian. Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (Jn 14:6).

What prevents us from following Jesus in this life and into heaven? Our sin. Your sin. Sin is missing the mark of perfection. We are all guilty of being imperfect. Have you acknowledged your sin to God and asked for forgiveness?

It is this simple:

  1. Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, who loved you and died for your sins
  2. Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead
  3. You shall be saved: “For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” (Rom 10:13):

The shortest description of the Gospel is in 1Cor 15:3-4:
“that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures”

Did you just receive forgiveness for your sins? You have been cleansed from all your guilt and shame. It is a miracle! You are a child of God. Below are three verses that will strengthen your confidence in being a child of God. Enjoy the journal!

“but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.” (John 20:31)
“These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life…” (1Jn 5:13)
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, Abba, Father. The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God… (Rom 8:15-16)
