Spiritual Warfare Prayer to Remove Drug Cravings

Spiritual Warfare Prayer to Remove Drug Cravings

My friend is free from heroin (many years) but his cravings are still a stronghold and discouraging/wearying to him. And I don’t believe these are normal cravings but a demonic stronghold that needs to be broken. I have written a spiritual warfare prayer to remove a cravings spiritual stronghold.

See below. Repeat this prayer out loud (as often as necessary) if you think you have a cravings demonic stronghold. Cravings force you to confront your weaknesses and will lead to spiritual strength and maturity. Unfortunately, this prayer may not help remove a neurologically induced craving.

Father, thank You for setting me free from the bondage of this addiction. I thank You that I am Your child and no longer labeled an addict. Jesus, You have set me free. Hallelujah. Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light, but these cravings are heavy. Holy Spirit, You are dwelling in me, and You are the Spirit of liberty. I acknowledge that my cravings are still a stronghold. I believe the devil is a powerful influence in these cravings, and I now submit myself to God. I resist the devil in the powerful and liberating name of Jesus. I come against any demons and unclean spirits who are commanded to steal, kill, and destroy and are targeting me. I confess that I am weak and need the power and authority of Jesus to resist the devil and his methods, schemes, and strategies. I have been given victory over addiction. I confess that the Word of God abides in me and I have overcome the wicked one. Glory to God. Jesus, You are faithful and just to forgive all of my sins and cleanse me from unrighteousness. Reveal to me anything that is preventing my victory. You have given me a measure of Your grace. You have given me spiritual gifts. You have a calling and a plan for my life, and I will not let these cravings hinder my divine purposes in any way. Lord, I love You with all of my mind and my strength, so I must be released from these satanic cravings to better love You. I believe by faith that the devil’s influence has to flee. I know that my faith has overcome the world. I know that sin no longer has lordship over me. I know that Your perfect love has cast out all fear from my soul and mind. I commit my liberty in Christ to be used to love and serve others. Jesus, remove this yoke of bondage, these cravings, because You are my Messiah. I cast all thoughts of defeat and limiting beliefs down that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, bringing these thoughts and limiting beliefs into captivity to the obedience of Christ. I believe by faith that I am more than a conqueror and nothing will separate me from the love of Jesus. I believe by faith that the devil’s influence in these cravings has been broken. In Jesus name.
