As you gaze upon Jesus and fellowship with Him, He removes any idols.

“so that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, your idols may be broken and made to cease” (Ezek 6:6)

“let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith” (Heb 12:1,2)

“but grow [auxano] in the grace [charis] and knowledge [gnosis] of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2Pet 3:18)

“and truly our fellowship [koinonia] is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.” (1Jn 1:3)

“And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God.” (2Cor 6:16)

“but that we write to them to abstain from things polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from things strangled, and from blood.” (Acts 15:20)

“that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well.”
