God is preparing you to receive what He has promised to you in Christ.
“These six were born to him in Hebron. There he reigned seven years and six months” (1Chr 3:4)
“but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” (Heb 6:12)
“by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature” (2Pet 1:4)
“He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Phil 1:6)
“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.” (Prov 13:12)
“Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires [mishalah] of your heart.” (Ps 37:4)
“But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” (Jm 1:4)
“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” (2Cor 1:20)
“Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” (2Cor 7:1)
