Jesus is your Good Shepherd. He has raised up pastors to protect you and feed you spiritually.

“I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking, says the LORD.” (Jer 23:4)
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.” (Jn 10:11)
“Therefore take heed [prosecho=devotion of thought and effort to] to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.” (Acts 20:28)
“Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers [episkopeo], not by compulsion but willingly [hekousios], not for dishonest gain but eagerly [prothumos]; nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples [tupos] to the flock” (1Pet 5:2,3)
“For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned [epistrepho] to [epi] the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.” (1Pet 2:25)
“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ” (Eph 4:11-12)
“that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete [katartizo] in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing [euarestos] in His sight” (Heb 13:20,21)
“I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep” (Jn 10:14)
“And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge [deah] and understanding [sakal].” (Jer 3:15)
