The Exceeding Greatness of the Resurrection Power of Jesus

Paul prayed the you may know the following… To know God is to know His resurrection power.

• the exceeding greatness of His power
• the working of His mighty power
• the power that God demonstrated in Christ when He raised Him from the dead
• “you may know…what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places” (Eph 1:18,19-20)

(1) Do you feel that you are a vessel of this glorious resurrection power?

(2) Do you have a nagging spiritual hindrance you cannot overcome?

(3) Do you believe you have the same resurrection power in you, that raised Jesus from the dead?

That was included in Paul’s stated purpose:

• “that I may know [ginosko] Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed [summorphizo] to His death” (Phil 3:10)

Pray: Ask the Lord to reveal to you the exceeding greatness of His mighty resurrection power. He has given you His divine power to produce life and godliness in you.

• “and what is the exceeding greatness [huperballo megethos] of His power [dunamis] toward [eis = into] us who believe, according to the working [energeia] of His mighty power [ischus kratos] which He worked [energeo] in Christ when He raised [egeiro] Him from the dead and seated [kathizo] Him at His right hand in the heavenly places” (Eph 1:19-20)
• “as His divine power [theios dunamis] has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness” (2Pet 1:3)
