You are born of God and your faith gives you the victory over the world’s influence.

“For whatever is born of God overcomes [nikao] the world. And this is the victory [nike] that has overcome the world—our faith.” (1Jn 5:4)

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation [thlipsis]; but be of good cheer [tharseo], I have overcome [nikao] the world.” (Jn 16:33)
