You can overcome temptation by the Holy Spirit’s power because Jesus overcame temptation.

“For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted [peirazo], He is able to aid those who are tempted [peirazo].” (Heb 2:18)

“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted [peirao] as we are, yet without sin.” (Heb 4:15)
